The Victorian State Championships were flown in varying conditions over May 14 and 15 at the bendigo field.  A great week end had by all, and congratulations to the winners:

Trusty President did the rounds on who was flying what equipment - and added his own observations on how they faired on the weekend.  The references to retracts and hip replacements came from minor damage inflicted with 40km/h pure blow in cross wind on the Saturday - and a few excursions into the longer grass to the edge of the field.

The story with the photos runs something like:

• Heaps of people turned up for Friday practice - until teh wind and rain arrived (horizontal wind sock, rainbows)
• Lots of great equipment and enthusiasm on Saturday, tempered by cold and and awkward wind to fly in
• Dinner at Marong pub a good social occasion
• Sunday - great flying weather!
• Winners!
