2008

Nepean one day competiton was run and won on 16th November. Congratulations to the winners:

F3A - Bill Bloodworth
Expert - Nathan Marriner
Advanced - David Law

The weather forecast, we must admit, was totally encouraging and a few turned up a little later, and a couple no showed (bad form guys without a call to Henry). F3A flew first with the wind blowing directly in the pilots face - posing just a few challenges for those light on practice. After their first two flights the sun had moved around and flying was changed to the other runway with the wind blowing stright down the strip.

Great hospitality from the locals as always, which was welcomed by those having less than stellar days - a few broken undercarriages, a broken header, an engine or two that wouldn't run, and Gibbo's Impression demonstrated it wasn't only his Hydeaway that liked swamps! Hence some big zeros in the scores.

Congratulations to Nathan Marriner and David Law on getting promotion points, and Bill Bloodworth on getting a retainer.
